The Pecoy Companies has the following openings:

 

Equipment Operator/Laborer:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in cellar hole excavating work, grading, drainage, underground utilities & machines
  • Must possess a class 2A hoisting license
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) medical examination certificate to drive Company vehicles
  • Must have an outstanding driving history
  • Ability to understand blueprints & layout

·         Must be a hard worker, able to take direction, and work in a team environment

·         Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. assisted

  • Perform sweeping, clearing debris, digging, demo, etc.

 

Laborer:

·         Minimum of 3 years’ experience

  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) medical examination certificate to drive Company vehicles

·         Must be a hard worker, able to take direction, and work in a team environment

·         Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. assisted

·         Perform sweeping, clearing debris, digging, demo, etc.

 

Project Manager (PM) - Remodeling:

 

PM of Remodeling is responsible for coordinating and managing all necessary resources throughout the entire project, from start-up through close-out to include: budget, cost, estimating, schedule, risk management, insurances, safety, general work performance, excellent client relationship, and overall excellent progress. The PM Remodeling shall ensure that both the clients’ and The Pecoy Companies’ expectations and budgetary guidelines are exceeded.  Applicant should possess 10 to 15 years of experience in residential renovation and remodeling and possess excellent organizational skills, along with basic computer skills.  Familiarity with BuilderTrend construction software preferred, but not necessary.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 

·         Work with sub-contractors to obtain estimates, determine schedules, and answer questions throughout the project

·         Compile all information and complete applications for permits (ex: Building, Septic, etc.)

·         Order materials and supplies as needed

·         Ensure all material for every job is ordered in advance and at the jobsite prior to the start of the work

·         Ensure that all projects are built to requirements and specifications established by construction drawing, building codes, clients, as well as the standards of the Pecoy Companies

·         Ensure that clients make selections on time and keep track of delays

·         Keep good efficient notes of meeting minutes and follow up with customers after meetings

·         Develop and maintain strong, productive supplier and trade contractor relationships. Communicate Company’s quality and performance standards to each trade contractor and supplier. Conduct periodic work inspections to ensure those standards are met.

·         Visit jobsite periodically to keep up-to-date on progress

·         Monitor production schedules, critical paths for projects, trade contractor schedules, and cost control to ensure that that homes are completed on time and meet expected quality and profit levels

·         Monitor project quality and cost control

·         Keep parties informed of each project’s progress as well as any complications that arise

·         Prepare work orders

·         Coordinate scheduling for routine inspections and change-over of utilities

·         Design and implement checklists for inspections, quality control, and standard operating procedures

·         Responsible for all timely customer payments and billing

·         Ensure all punch list items have been completed

·         Resolve warranty issues

·         Run the scheduling software to assist in keeping jobs on track

·         Provide superior customer service

·         Remain flexible & open minded to new projects or tasks that are asked of you

 

The successful applicants will be dependable, driven, results-focused, and team players with “can do” attitudes!  Compensation is negotiable depending upon experience, skills, knowledge, & ability.  All candidates must have reliable transportation.

 

Our construction candidates will successfully complete pre-employment Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) physicals and drug screens.  All candidates will also successfully complete background checks, including previous employment and motor vehicle record.
